Christmas Picture Overload!!

Here are some of the Christmas pictures that I took for our Christmas card this week....

I decided to go outside to try to get some natural light shots...Kalia decided she wanted to dig.

and eat grass...

So I went and got the tree skirt, and instead she decided to eat the branches around her.

and then lunged for the grass too...when she wants something, it's hard to stop her - already!

We moved inside to the chair and her hat after that...I actually felt kind of bad taking all of these because I could tell she didn't feel all that well.  I guess not bad enough to stop taking them though - she's just too cute!

Change up of hats, and a book to try to keep her from pulling off her santa cap.  She thought the santa cap was for playing peek a boo and kept trying to pull it off her head.

A smaller hat that she left on her head.  This is for an 18 month sized head!

Back to the big Santa cap...I thought it was the cutest on her.

Hope you enjoyed my Santa Baby!!  Merry Christmas everyone!

Bonus Pictures Week 27

Kalia getting ready to go for a jog with Mommy and Kodi.  I definitely had my hands full all week long!

Playing outside with Kodi.

Deciding she wants to be like Kodi...

AVOCADO'S!!! (This is four days worth of feedings all shown at once....)

"Mommy, these still gross me out."
"Nevermind, they're kind of yummy!!"
When we get to the bottom of the food thingie, I let Kalia hold it.  She hid it from me and then smiled at me.  I guess that was her way of saying "all done".

Oh yeah, and another thing she learned this past week...how to blow raspberries.  But only while she's eating. Convenient!!  My shirt was covered in avocados by the end of this!

"Mommy, I'm tired, you're tired....please can we be all done?!"
I finally got her to eat the avocados more readily by giving her a spoon and then plopping the avocados on her spoon as she shoved it into her mouth.  She might not have digested too many this way though...she wore an awful lot!

This next one cracked me up.  I gave her the container again because we were about done.  She took it, threw it at the fridge, and then gave me a huge smile.  Notice her food container over by the fridge...goofy strong-headed girl!!

"ALL DONE - YAY!!!!!!!"
We take a bath pretty much every night now.  We don't use soap every night, but we get in there to rinse off our dinner mess!

Kalia in her cute purple dress, shoes, and headband.  She ran errands with me on this day and got so many compliments!

Gazing at her Christmas tree...

Playing in her crib.

"Mommy, I'm gonna be just like you one day.  Look at me and my hammer!!

Happy 27 week Birthday Kalia!

This week, Kalia :

  • was away from her Daddy for the first time.  He left early early Thursday morning and didn't get back until the following Thursday afternoon.  We skyped with Chris every morning though.  Kalia thought he was funny in the computer.  He'd put his hands up and tell her he was going to get her, and then count to three, and I'd tickle her from behind and she thought that was great.
  • ate avocado's and bananas.  Every new food she did slightly better with, but not amazing.
  • got her first Christmas tree.  She thought the tree was pretty cool, but after I finished putting lights and ornaments on it, she thinks it's amazing.  She'll sit in front of it and just gaze at it.  It's a 10 1/2 foot tree, so it's a funny sight seeing her tiny little self sitting in front of it.
  • still thinks Kodi is hilarious, but mainly when he's not doing a command that we tell him to.  When we go out to play soccer, she thinks it's funny when I say come and he doesn't and when I say leave it, and he chews on the ball.  Not sure what we're getting at here!!
  • stayed sick all week.  Her little cough turned into a wet heavy cough.  Poor baby :-(.
  • likes to dig and eat the dirt.  I tried to take her Christmas pictures outside, and she kept digging ferociously and then trying to put the dirt, grass, or tree limbs into her mouth.  If only she liked food as much as everything else!
  • had her 6 month pediatrician visit.  Because she's sick, the pediatrician didn't give her her vaccines, so we'll have to do those next week.  I did get her updated stats though.
Kalia's 6 month stats are :
Height : 28.25 inches (off the chart)
Weight : 17lbs 4 ounces (76%)
Head : 44 cm (88 %)

Kalia's stats from her 4 month checkup were :
Height : 26 1/2 inches (still off the chart)
Weight : 15 lbs 4 ounces (86 %)
Head : 42 cm (89 %)

So I guess that means she's getting longer and leaner.  Her head is pretty big though, she doesn't fit into 6-9 month beanie hats anymore.  Even the beanie caps that are infant at Target that say 12-18 months don't fit her...she has to wear the toddler ones.  Lots of brains going on in there!
