42 week bonus pictures

Fun time in the pool eating her tennis ball.  She takes after Kodi...  Thanks Aunt Jennifer for the spf rash guard, she wears it almost every day!

Havin some 'chillax' time as we call it before nap time, but after pool time.  She doesn't stop unless she's sleeping, so when I think she's had enough, but I can't get her down for a nap immediately, I just make her hang out in the swing for a few.  It's crazy how big she is now in it compared to the old days when she used to use it!

When Kalia's being intentionally cute or sweet, she lays her head down on things.  This time was her jumperoo...goofy girl!

Trying to get Kalia to stay still so I can get a picture of her in her new Hawaii dress that Grandpa and Grandma Drago sent (thanks!!).

Inside obviously wasn't working, so I took her outside to see if I could get her to stay still...

"Really Mommy?  You seriously think I'm just going to sit on this chair and smile pretty for you when there's a pool calling my name??  You're out of your mind."
I only wound up getting  a half smile, but you can see the dress is cute on her!

Helping Mommy cook in the kitchen!  Look at the big girl standing all by herself!

Waiting for Daddy to put the bike seat on.   I know she's not smiling in the picture below, but I love it.  Her big eyes, pouty lips, and skin just look so cute in this picture!  She also looks so so big - more like a little girl than a baby...sigh...

Getting excited to try out her bike seat!

Deciding that she hates the bike seat...

"Mommy said this was going to be fun, and this IS NOT fun.  Get this thing off my head Daddy!!"
"Mommy, you lied.  I'm imprisoned and I've got this silly thing strapped to my head.  How is this fun??"
Once the bike started moving though...she loved it!

"That was fun, lets go again!!!"

"Yay Mommy, you were right - that WAS fun!!!"
Silly time with poor Kods...

These next few are after her going to bed and waking up 30 minutes later screaming, and then us going for a bike ride to calm her down.  She decided that she was okay with having her helmet on after all, probably because she enjoyed the bike ride!  I think she should live in this helmet...it'd add some years to my life!

Goof ball during dinner.  She loves to point.  We point back at her and say "YOOOUUUU!!!", which she thinks is a great game!

My goofy family hanging out in the neighbors yard because Chris sprayed ours with bug killer.

"Hey Mommy, come join the fun!!!  Daddy's pinning Kodi down and using this big contraption on him!"
"Oh Kodi, it's okay...we can play together when Daddy is done!"
"Uh oh, am I in trouble?!?!"  (We were trying to keep Kalia contained while doing the laundry!)
"Yay, I'm not!!!  Even Kodi's food bowl is fun!!"
 Picking out her outfit...

"Oh what to wear, what to wear.  Mommy leaves me naked too much, I've got to get some stylish clothes on!"
"Ah yes, my Gator outfit.  I think I'm in the mood to show my Gator Pride!"
Kalia talking on the phone to Chris while I'm trying to feed her and he's driving down to volleyball.  She literally talks to him when he's on the phone.  She takes my phone as soon as she see's it anyways, but she'll "talk" to Chris.  I kept snapping away hoping to get a few of her new teeth, and I did!  They're small but they're there!

We had a really good, fun week this week, even with actual teething going on!  Love you Kalia!!

Happy 42 week Birthday Kalia!

I just did a double take when I typed that.  Hard to believe my baby girl is 10 weeks away from being a year old.  How time flies when we're having fun!

This week, Kalia :
  • stayed sleeping through the night - yay!
  • still hasn't found her magic window for going to sleep - boo!
  • thoroughly enjoyed splashing in her pool all week long.  She made it down to the second step.  When her lips started turning blue, I decided we'd had enough most days!
  • stood up by herself without pulling up on anything.  She looked like she was squatting and then she just popped up.
  • is standing quite a bit more.  Every time I say "yay Kalia!" though she looks at me and plops back down.  I've started just not saying anything and she stands for a good 30-45 seconds before grabbing onto something.
  • does the sign language sign for more.  She has no earthly idea what it means though, she signs more for every single thing, and then sometimes pushes whatever it is she asked for more of away annoyed.
  • climbs.  She showed me the hard way - poor girl.  I grabbed a big bag of carrots from the fridge, and of course she was in it before I could slam it closed.  I put the carrots on the counter and turned around and she was literally standing IN the refrigerator.  I asked her how the heck she got in there and she turned to look at me and fell out, right onto her noggin.  It was her hardest spill so far.  She's tough though, nothing a little splashing in the pool didn't fix.
  • thinks it's hilarious to fake fall down in the bath tub.  She'll stand up, reach for us like she's ready to get out, and then plop down on her little butt and die laughing.  Such a goof!
  • went for her first bike ride!  Kalia's Granny got me a bike carrier seat for my birthday, and Chris hooked it up on Sunday (after our awesome neighbors dropped off a bike - thanks Nancy and Bob!!).  Kalia absolutely loves it!  I had Chris take her on her first spin so I could video tape it - video coming soon!  We've gone for a bike ride every.single.day so far!
  • is not going to be toothless until she's 18 (she's still going to be bald until then though I think).  Her bottom two front teeth started cutting through her gums on Sunday night.  She woke up about 30 minutes after she went to bed screaming like her arm had gotten chopped off.  I went in there and she was shoving her hand into her mouth and screaming crying.   We gave her some advil and took her on another bike ride.  She had a rough time going to sleep Monday and Tuesday night too.
  • played with Nancy on Monday night while Mommy and Daddy went to volleyball.  She's generally asleep by 730, but with her teething she just wasn't having any of it.  Nancy went and rescued her after we left and said she played great!  She did not, however, think too highly of Nancy trying to put her back to sleep when she started rubbing her eyes.  She doesn't think too highly of us trying to put her down either, haha, so it's nothing personal!  Thanks so much Nancy!

"Allright Mommy, here's the deal.  I'll smile for these pictures if you take me for another bike ride when we're done.  Otherwise, this is what you're getting!"
"And I'll smile bigger if you let me sit up like the big girl that I am instead of laying here like a little baby!"
"Wahoo...I'm a big girl!!!"
"And I get to go for a bike ride now!!  YAY!!!!"
Bonus pictures and video coming shortly...
