Week 24 : I popped!!!

It's official...there's no hiding my 'bump' anymore.  It is large and in charge, and showing off to the world how pregnant I am!!  I officially popped last weekend, at week 23.  Chris attempted to take pictures, but this was the best one that came out:

This was the only other one that came out somewhat normal, and it's even not that great!

So after 7 hours of shopping this weekend, Erin took some pictures Saturday evening.  It had been raining all day, so not only do I look horrible (and exhausted), but the lighting was really bad too.  It's okay though, she got good belly shots, and I know that's all anyone cares about seeing!!

Hopefully next weeks pictures will turn out a little bit better!

Updates on me/baby : I've 'upgraded' to a size D.  They're clown bras.  Seriously.  And to the manufacturer's of those size D bra's, there's absolutely NO NEED to put padding in a bra that's labeled a D.  There's no extra 'miracle' help needed...the fact that we can stand up right while carrying these monstrosities is miracle enough!  I only bought one...I hope they stop growing, but I was scared to buy anymore until I know for sure!

Sleeping is already becoming increasingly harder.  It's hard to get comfortable on my one side, and then once I get up to pee, which happens about 3-4 times a night, it's hard to fall back asleep because of the whole comfort thing.

She's kicking up a storm, but only when I stay still for too long, so normally in the mornings and at night.  During the day when I'm out and about, I think she snoozes.  Hmmm...that might be a sign of things to come!

We're making good progress on the nursery, but my head feels like it's going to expload with all of my ideas I've got for it.  I can't turn nursery brain off either.  It's impossible.

Most days, overall, I feel pretty good, excited, and happy.  I get emotionally overwhelmed easily now though, and am starting to feel the sense of urgency to get more done as quickly as possible.  It's exhausting.  I'm also trying to balance in hanging out with friends and enjoying this time, which means I'm just non-stop all of the time.

Overall I feel well, just large and in charge!!   Next Wednesday is my next follow up, he'll be impressed with how much I've grown over the past month!

T-minus 16 weeks and counting!!

  1. OK...I can say it now...you officially look prego! Your belly looks so adorable and you look like you're carrying all over now instead of high. That's a good thing I think...less chance to get stretch marks. Understand about the size D bra, but shouldn't grow bigger than that. Wait till your milk comes in, then you'll see. I think I see your belly button sticking out ;-) Too cute! Love you sis!
