For Father's Day, I helped Kalia make breakfast for her Daddy and brought it to him after she went down for her first nap. His first present was sleeping in!
After that, we all went swimming in the pool...
Chris trying to explain to Kalia that she should be okay with chilling on the steps like the other babies do...
(wonder where she gets talking with her hands from ... ahem!)
...and Kalia telling Daddy no way, catch me!!!
And then Chris went golfing while Kalia took her second nap. When she got up, I helped her write a special Father's Day message for her Daddy...

| "Mommy, I want you to make it look like I'm saying those words right up there! Got it?" |

| "K, I'll smile now!!" |
 |
| "Or maybe I'll look at it, does that look better??" |
 |
| "No, no, no, lets do it over my head!!" |
 |
| "I don't know Mommy, do you think it looks better from this angle??" |
 |
| "Oh wait Mommy, we forgot about Kodi! I'll go bring the sign to him!" (Those aren't light either!) |

| "Kodi, can you write your name right next to mine? Right here!" |
 |
| "Silly Kodi, look at the camera and then I'll give you a treat!" |
 |
| "Hahaha, just kidding Kodi, it's all mine!! SIKE!!! Come catch me!" |
 |
| "Allright Mommy, I think we've got enough pictures. Where do you want me to put this now?" |
...and then we met up with Chris at the golf course.

| "We get to go to the golf course to see that Daddy??? Really??? YAY!!!!" |
 |
| "Mommy, look!!! I'm in a golf cart with that Daddy!! YAY!" |
 |
| "Hmmm...what can I get into really quickly while Mommy's attention is focused on the camera instead of on me? There's got to be something good back here!" |

| Chris : "So we have to let those people go first before we can hit the ball." |
 |
| Kalia : "Are you serious Daddy?? It's not even our turn yet?!?! Why did I even get out of the golf cart in the first place then?!?!?!" |
 |
| "Okay, here's how this is gonna go down Daddy. You hit the ball..." |
 |
| Kalia : "Hold on Daddy, let me move it to the right spot for you." |
 |
| "Hahaha, just kidding, I'm going to run away and eat it!!! " |
 |
| Ball ALL GONE!!! |
When we got home, she was exhausted and went and planted herself on her floor cushions in the corner and indulged in some cheerios. Those are a treat for her!
We had a great second Father's Day - we love you Chris aka "that Daddy!"
Can't believe how big she's getting! Can't wait to see you guys in two and a half weeks :-) Love you!
ReplyDeleteI guess great minds think alike...Shawn spent his Daddy's day at the golf course too! We did not join him, but we did make him artwork and breakfast. Kalia is so stinkin' cute...the picture of her sitting on the pool steps looks just like Maddie! I'm pretty sure people are going to think they are sisters. :)
