Happy 13 week Birthday Kalia!

This week, Kalia

• was sick for all day Wednesday and Thursday.  I think she must have caught her bug at the beach the prior week.  Her fever got up to 100.7, but she finally broke it on Friday.  Thank goodness.  She was so miserable all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  She just cried, cried, cried and pooped pooped pooped.  We had a little bit of reprieve here and there, but it was no fun!
• started a routine with Mommy and Kodi of walking in the mornings.  She loves loves loves to be outside, but she hates her death seat, so walking her in the bjorn is much better than jogging her in the jogging stroller.  I tried to take her and Kodi jogging one morning and kept yelling at Kodi to heel and behave (after he got his leash caught up in the wheels of the stroller quite a few times), and Kalia was not a fan of the yelling.  She thought I was yelling at her and got all upset.  So to take the two of them, we speed walk.  We leave after she gets up and eats in the mornings, and she loves it!
• saw her feet for the first time.  She thought her toes were pretty cool!
• is still a drool monster.
• is still a chatty cathy.
• did pretty well at Aila's birthday party on Saturday, especially considering the fact that she slept a whole 40 minutes from 640 - 315!
• went to a BBQ on Sunday afternoon, and decided that she was over people and lack of sleep by the time we left.  Anyone that looked at her or tried to talk to her, she gave her big fat sad lip and then started wailing.  Oops!!!
• went swimming for quite awhile on Labor Day.  She likes to kick around in her float!
• watched her first football games and loved them.  She actually really loves TV.  I try not to let her watch it too terribly much (of course sports is the exception), but if it's on, it's hard to pry her eyes away from it!
• is most definitely teething.  Her lower back gum is no longer pink, it's white.  She's supposed to get her front teeth in first, so we'll see if those start showing up before too long.  None have broke the surface yet though.  She's had low grade (lower than 100) fevers off and on since her tummy bug she got, so I'm pretty sure that's the teething.
• gets frustrated easily.  She likes to reach for things, but doesn't have the coordination quite yet to grab what she wants.  She'll start punching like a crazy boxer, and then lose it crying.  We recover easily from that though!
• must be going through yet another growth spurt.  We're back down to the max sleep amount being 3 - 3.5 hours.  I try to wait until she's wailing to go in, and then she eats like she's absolutely starving.  I think I'm growing a giant!
