This week, Kalia :
- has, for the most part, gotten over her hatred of the death seat aka car seat. She still fusses occasionally, but if she's tired, she'll actually go to sleep in the car now, and she's relatively easy to distract or keep content with toys, as long as she doesn't have a poopy diaper. Whew!
- loves her feat. She thinks it's great when you kiss them, blow raspberries in them, clap them together, or stomp them down. She also loves to grab them when she's on the changing table. Convenient - helps with cleaning!!
- likes to kick in the pool. Previously she just kind of floated around and examined everything. This week, she liked to kick kick kick.
- went one night with sleeping almost EIGHT FULL HOURS!!! It was AMAZING!!! I had her in the pool kicking around for almost an hour before bedtime, and then she was up and down until about 10 p.m., and then I didn't hear her again until almost 6 a.m.. I woke up panicked after seven hours thinking that something was wrong with her! Most nights she goes about 4 hours.
- had her follow up appointment at the pediatrician's office on Friday for her UTI. Apparently there's three types of UTI infections you can get - the urethra, the bladder, the kidneys. Kalia's infection was of her kidneys, which isn't good for a 3 month old. She has follow up tests down at All Childrens Hospital on Thursday. They're putting a catheter in her and injecting dye to see where her urine goes (the worry is that she has reflux of her urine and that her urine flows backwards from her bladder into her kidneys). They're also doing an ultra sound to see if there's anything wrong with the shape / size of the kidneys or tubes around there. For those of you that are the praying type, please say an extra prayer for Kalia that all of these come back negative and that her kidney infection was just a fluke! Both Mommy and Daddy are trying to not worry until we're given information otherwise...well, as much as possible anyways.
- weighed in at 15 lbs on Friday.
- puts every.single.thing in her mouth. Every thing. And she's still a drool monster.
- found her thumb and started sucking it on her 16 week birthday. She more chomps on it and then does some really weird sucking thing, but it's still an improvement from her putting her entire fist in her mouth!
- still really loves mirrors. Err, or loves looking at herself! She thinks she's the cutest, funniest thing in the world (I agree).
- did well with volleyball this week because Nancy came with us. Nancy had her iphone and took pictures of Kalia and showed her to them - she thought it was great!
- likes her jogging stroller when it's overcast. She hates sun in her eyes. If she's had a rough go with napping all day, I can take her for a jog and put her to sleep that way. Kills two birds with one stone!
- outgrew all of her 0-3 month clothes, most of her 3 months clothes, and fits into 3-6 months, and 6 month clothes.
I'm sticking to doing only a couple of these weekly photos, and just adding the bonus pictures. Enjoy!
