- weighed in at 16 lbs 8 ounces at Breast Feeding support group on Wednesday.
- likes to hear herself squeal a lot. Her and her friend Reese squealed back and forth at each other at the BF support group. When she gets excited, she also likes to hop up and down.
- is doing amazingly well at sitting up. Before I'd have to hold her back for her to sit for any length of time. She's decided she's good on her own now though! She can sit for a minute plus at a time. I actually think she could sit for longer, but she's not the sit still kind of gal. She sees something she wants and lunges for it. She's getting better at holding her chest up when she lunges instead of just face planting.
- loves, loves, LOVES Kodi. She was over-tired and throwing a fit this past weekend and we made Kodi talk and she started laughing, laughing, laughing. She thinks it's funny when he whines, talks, plays tug of war with us, and when he sits still for her to pet him. It's the hardest she laughs. Kodi thinks there's lots of "careful" rules around Kalia, and he'd prefer to just play rough. Once we start solids, I think he'll be a bigger fan!
- moved up to riding in the stroller while we're jogging like a big girl. Chris took her a little over 1.5 miles on Sunday, and then I took her 4.5 miles on her 23 week bday. Really, mine was 2.25 miles there, then a break at the swings, then 2.25 miles home.
- has decided she's not as big of a fan of sprinklers as her furry brother is. On my way home from the park, we ran past some sprinklers that got her a little wet and she let me know how much she did not appreciate that. She's relatively easily appeased most of the time though. I just put up a blanket over the cape of her stroller, and she grabbed for it for a few until she reached it, and then chewed on it.
- was doing really well with naptimes being relatively consistent (9 a.m. and 1 p.m.for 1-2 hours) until her 23 week birthday. Then she knew I was going to type this and decided to just take a few 20-30 min naps throughout the day.
- grew peach fuzz leg hair. Her hair on her head is slowly starting to come in more too.
- likes to hold things in her hand (like her rattle) and make these crazy wild circles with them. She sometimes hits herself in the head with her toy and gets all mad, and then gets over it, and repeats what she was doing.
- rolled from her back to her tummy twice during naptime on her 23 week birthday. She was pretty livid about it.
- outgrew her bouncy seat. I set her in it for a few minutes to finish up something on the computer and all of the sudden it sounded like an a.d.d. music edition coming from the room. I went in and she was pushing all of the buttons to make the music turn on / off / change, and changing the different speeds of her bounce. I left for a few seconds and she started screaming. I had her clipped in, but she still managed to get her arm on the floor and her body half way hanging off of it and couldn't get herself back up.
- tried a sippy cup. She thinks it's a great chew toy. No sucking, just a lot of chewing. I guess it's a start!
- loves her feet. She sucks on them, grabs them, and plays constantly with them.
- thinks it's a fun new game to play peek a boo or smile at me and make faces while she's eating. She unlatches herself and stares or does goofy things until I smile back, and then she'll smile and latch back on. She doesn't care if we're out in public, or if I forgot my hider and am just using one of her blankets. Until I smile at her, she's not latching back on. She will fully come out from beneath the blanket / hider and show me to the world until I smile back. Oiy.
- stayed home without Mommy for the longest time in her life - twice! She stayed with Chris while I had my ultrasound done on my breast - he even put her down for a nap and she actually slept! The second time I put her down and then Chris and I went to volleyball while Nancy stayed at the house while Kalia slept. Both times were an hour and a half. I might or might not have been a basket case both times :-). I'm not telling!
- loves textures of things. She loves to feel our jute rug, the lines in the leather chairs, and her pillow on her glider. It made getting her bday pictures difficult. She just wanted to roll over and rub her pillow.
