Happy 9 week Birthday Kalia!

This week, Kalia :

  • outgrew most of her 0-3 month onesies.  She's mostly in 3 month clothes now.
  • taught Daddy that naptime at 640 is not awesome.  That means bedtime is around 11.
  • talks talks talks talks talks!!
  • started establishing a nap time routine.  She at least does one long nap sometime between 11-12 till 1 or 2, and then again around 2 or 3 till 4 or 5.  She gets swaddled and goes into the top of her pack n play relatively easily.
  • made Mommy and Daddy watch for cracks and pine-cones on their runs.  If we accidentally run over one, she loses it to the point of no return.
  • started pushing her feedings from every hour to every hour and a half or two hours.  Woot woot!
  • became somewhat of a fussy eater.  I'm not sure if it's because she's starting to teeth (I think anyways, she's awfully drooley), or because I'm the most unlucky breast feeding woman in the entire world and started menstruating again already.  Apparently my milk can change tastes during that time of the month.
  • rolled from her back to her front during tummy time.  She still hates tummy time, and she was doing it on two large pillows, so I'm sure that helped some!
  • did well at volleyball this week.  Grandma Taggart and Great Grandma Miller were in town visiting, and Grandma Taggart soothed her while Mommy finished playing the 3rd game so she didn't throw a fit to be fed.
  • takes after her Mommy and is not a morning baby.  She will 'talk' to me, and I make her noises back at her, but if someone actually talks to her in the mornings, she gets upset!  That's my girl! :-)
  • hates, hates, HATES her car seat.  It's the seat of death.  If we're not immediately taking off in the jogging stroller and instead going in the car, she freaks.out.  She seriously hates the thing!
  • won every bottle battle.  She's so stubborn!  Not for a lack of trying though...see 2 month pictures!
If any other grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. want to come and visit and stay through Tuesday morning, our volleyball hobby and us would appreciate it!!  It was so nice having help at the gym this week so we could play a full three games!

Onto the important stuff...pictures!  We got a mix of smiles and serious looks this week, and lots of talking.  She must get that from her Daddy.  Haha!

And here's Kalia's all done pose!!  I know, mean, but still, so cute!!

Good thing I birthed her...she looks so much like her Daddy!!
