HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY KALIA!!!!!!!

I can't believe I am the Mom to a one year old.  Kalia has taught me so much over the past year, and I'm so proud to be her Momma!  She has got such a little personality and is so loving and cute at everything she does.  I wouldn't change a single thing over the past year.  Even the colic and the sleepless nights.  It's all gotten us to where we are now, which is such a happy place.  The time will come when we can't rock her to sleep in our arms anymore, so while these days last, I want to cheerish and treasure every single one.  It's all flown by so fast!

It rained and rained and rained for Kalia's first birthday, but we didn't let that damped on spirits, our fun was just a little more wet!

In the morning, instead of going for our walk, Kalia and I splashed around in the pool and on the pool deck. Kalia thought it was great!

"Kodi, Kodi, the rain is so much fun!!!"

"yay Mommy, forget this splash stuff, lets swim!!!"

"I love the pool and rain!!!  SO FUN!!!"

"Happy Birthday to ME!!!!  YAY!!"

After her first nap, we went down to the Splash Park.  Kalia had a blast, although it was hard to capture on film with all of the water and how big the park was.  We've got a short video that I'll post soon!

"Is that rain I feel??  More water keeps falling from the sky!"

"Oh, it's from that big thing dumping water!!!  Daddy, look look!!!"

"Mommy, this place is fun!!!  Come get wet!!!"

"Woah, that thing sprays water too?!?!?"

"This place is the coolest!!"

"I LOVE water in my face!!!  YAY!"

"Mommy, quit taking pictures, come play!!!"

"Okay Mommy, you take pictures, I'm gonna go splash more!!"

"Oh, oh, oh, what's over there?!?!"

"Or maybe over here...have I seen that one yet?!?!"

"Whew, this place is fun, but I'm exhausted!!!"

We played on the playground before heading home and taking her second nap.  After her second nap, her Granny, Grandpa Hoskins, and Great Granny all showed up to join in the birthday celebrations!  She got to open her big gift (a tent and tunnel!!) from her Granny and thoroughly enjoyed playing around in it before calling it quits for the day.

"yay Granny, it's my birthday!!!  I'm one!!!!"

"Hey Mommy, what are you doing all the way down there?!?!  This is fun!!"

Things are gearing up for her very first birthday party around these parts, so stay tuned for a post on that!
