Kalia had a blast - thank you so much to everyone that was a part of making Kalia's first year, and her big birthday party, so memorable!
These aren't in any sort of order, and I didn't filter very well, sorry!!
Pool fun!
Kalia thought Mommy throwing the football to her and Daddy was great fun. The spectators thought it would've been a lot more fun to throw Mommy in. Probably because they were staying at our home, they thought better of it! :-)
Kalia after throwing the football.
Stopping for a minute to get a blueberry from me, and then going right back to it.
Chalk sign messages for Kalia!! If you don't want your picture posted of this, let me know and I'll remove it!
Decorations!
This by far took the longest of her decorations to do. I started at the top left with today and worked my way all the way down to her birth. So many fun memories though to look back at!
Those balloons are staying up for a little while. Kalia absolutely loves them! Fun in the play room!
We worked really hard to get this chalk wall and ledges done before Kalia's party. If the weather didn't hold out for the pool, we wanted something else fun for the kiddos to do. Chris can't decide if the chalk wall is for me or Kalia :-). We share!
More pool / eating fun!
This one is one of my favorites of Kalia's face while swimming. So happy in the water!
Kalia had a blast splashing with her Daddy, cousins, and little friends!
Her cousin Kaylyn is so good with her - love these next two pictures of the two of them!
Such a cute one of her little friend Reese loving the water too!
Cake time!! Kalia wasn't really sure of it. She thought the crowd was funny though!
Kalia's Aunt Christina made cake pops, which were a huge hit!! Thanks!!
And lastly, a few family photos in front of Kalia's fabric heart. I wrote her name in a heart shape in fabric marker on there. Kalia needed a little bit of encouragement from the tickle monster to smile for the camera.
Thanks so so so very much to Erin and Chris for capturing our special day for us! And thanks again to everyone for being a part of this crazy journey called parenthood. We survived the first year, and it was everything and nothing that we expected it to be - so much harder, so much more rewarding, and so much more amazing!!
Hooray Kalia! You're one now. Hope all the pics turned out okay. If you have a couple you want some post-processing magic applied to, let us know.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great party for a wonderful little girl! Kalia, you are loved by so many people and we are looking forward to many more birthday parties!
