Play time!
Kalia's new favorite trick is to pull off the edging around her play mats and put them in her mouth. If she's close to an edge, she'll pull herself with her upper body until she gets where she needs to be, and then starts pulling them apart and putting them in her mouth.
"Look what I can do Mommy!"
"You want me to eat Sophie instead?"
"No thanks, I like the mats better!"
Love her so much!!
She's started reaching for everything...including when she wants one of us to come closer.
Trying on her dress that Steph got her before she was born. She wore this to Steph's baby shower...it's size 12 months, but she's so long, it works!
Taking her first shower after Daddy basically flung her rice cereal at her face. I swear he must've put the cereal on a spoon and turned it around and flicked it on her face. I don't think she ate any of it!
At Steph's baby shower!
We accidentally all three matched. We're cool like that (or embarrassing like that if you're of Chris's mindset!).
Lovin' some bjorn time with Daddy (they match accidentally again :-)).
Kalia sleeping on our way home. We stopped for a bathroom break and I snapped this really quickly and she didn't wake up. She looked like she was having a good dream (milk waterfalls perhaps?!).
These are picture overloads, I know...but here's the great sweet potato fist time feeding. Her face expressions are priceless.
"Gag me Mommy, this stuff is disgusting."
"No Daddy, please...don't make me eat it!!!"
"Noooo....it's so gross!!!"
"Why are you doing this to me Daddy?! Just give me my milk!!!"
"Ugh, I'm gonna vomit...YUCK!"
"Quit shoving this gross stuff in my mouth!!!"
"Mommy, you try this...it's so.gross!!!"
"All done?! Yay!!!"
"No?!?! I'm not all done?! Why???"
"Don't make me eat anymore...please!!!!!"
"Oh thank goodness, I think it's really over. That was awful."
Bath time afterwards!
Since I'm posting these a bit late, I'll fill you guys in on a few things that's happened since Tuesday. We thinned out the sweet potatoes and that helped some, but not much. On Thursday I figured out that if I warmed them up, she'd eat them. But I had to warm them up three times throughout the feeding. We moved onto avocado's today and she did somewhat better.
Her 6 month checkup was today. They're holding off on giving her vaccines until a week from today because she's got a virus. That rash she had was the first sign...she's hoarse, got a dry cough, and has a runny nose. I had to wake her up from a FOUR hour nap to make her 1 o'clock pediatricians appointment. Hopefully she starts feeling better soon!
'Till next week...
