Happy 28 week Birthday Kalia!

This week, Kalia :

• stayed sick.  Her cough was pretty bad most of the week.
• took a sippy cup of water using a bottle nipple instead of the sippy cup nipple (thanks for the advice Amy!).
• had a very confusing, and busy week.  Granny and great-Granny showed up Wednesday, her little friend Reese came over on Thursday, and Daddy came home Thursday late afternoon.  On Saturday morning we drove over to Orlando and stayed the night with Aunt Christina and Uncle Shawn, along with Granny and Great-Granny again before heading back Sunday afternoon.  She's decided that sleeping is now for the birds with all of this travel.
• decided that Mommy needed a break and slept 8 1/2 hours while Mommy had her girls night and Daddy was still in Arizona.  I had my first alcoholic drink of champagne with the girls after I put her to bed (I hosted at the house), and I think she was trying to tell me I could just drink the whole bottle.  I didn't listen :-), but the break was nice!
• ate applesauce and did a little bit better with it.  
• ate a banana from me while I was eating one.  Not pureed, just whole.  She would check my mouth to make sure that I was actually eating the banana and then swallow her piece.
• made it the entire almost 2.5 hours to Uncle Shawn and Aunt Christina's without having to stop.  She got really fussy the last 15-20 minutes, but I was able to distract her until we got there.  We felt bad then though...she was fussy because she had a poopy diaper!
• isn't officially crawling, but she can pull herself across the room.  She can pull herself to get anything she wants, which means leaving our drinks or things that she can't have just out of reach is no longer okay!
• likes to hold onto my hands while she's on her belly, then pull her knees up underneath her, then straighten up, and then put her feet underneath her knees and stand up.  She laughs and smiles when she does this...she's so proud!
