Happy 27 week Birthday Kalia!

This week, Kalia :

  • was away from her Daddy for the first time.  He left early early Thursday morning and didn't get back until the following Thursday afternoon.  We skyped with Chris every morning though.  Kalia thought he was funny in the computer.  He'd put his hands up and tell her he was going to get her, and then count to three, and I'd tickle her from behind and she thought that was great.
  • ate avocado's and bananas.  Every new food she did slightly better with, but not amazing.
  • got her first Christmas tree.  She thought the tree was pretty cool, but after I finished putting lights and ornaments on it, she thinks it's amazing.  She'll sit in front of it and just gaze at it.  It's a 10 1/2 foot tree, so it's a funny sight seeing her tiny little self sitting in front of it.
  • still thinks Kodi is hilarious, but mainly when he's not doing a command that we tell him to.  When we go out to play soccer, she thinks it's funny when I say come and he doesn't and when I say leave it, and he chews on the ball.  Not sure what we're getting at here!!
  • stayed sick all week.  Her little cough turned into a wet heavy cough.  Poor baby :-(.
  • likes to dig and eat the dirt.  I tried to take her Christmas pictures outside, and she kept digging ferociously and then trying to put the dirt, grass, or tree limbs into her mouth.  If only she liked food as much as everything else!
  • had her 6 month pediatrician visit.  Because she's sick, the pediatrician didn't give her her vaccines, so we'll have to do those next week.  I did get her updated stats though.
Kalia's 6 month stats are :
Height : 28.25 inches (off the chart)
Weight : 17lbs 4 ounces (76%)
Head : 44 cm (88 %)

Kalia's stats from her 4 month checkup were :
Height : 26 1/2 inches (still off the chart)
Weight : 15 lbs 4 ounces (86 %)
Head : 42 cm (89 %)

So I guess that means she's getting longer and leaner.  Her head is pretty big though, she doesn't fit into 6-9 month beanie hats anymore.  Even the beanie caps that are infant at Target that say 12-18 months don't fit her...she has to wear the toddler ones.  Lots of brains going on in there!
